Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine (CBAM)

Legal & Enrollment Terms

GCC Programs | Last updated: 2026 | Governing law: Ontario, Canada

Key Terms Summary

By placing an order through this website, you agree to the terms of your selected course. All prices and plans are binding once the first payment is made.

  • Program Enrollment: Confirmed once your initial payment is submitted. Course access is granted immediately.
  • Payment Terms: Remaining balances must be completed within one (1) month of the initial payment.
  • Certification Release: Documents are only issued once the full course tuition is paid. No exceptions.
  • Refund Policy: All purchases are final. No refunds will be issued once the initial payment is processed due to immediate digital access.
  • Legal & Practice: CBAM provides education, not medical licenses. You must verify your local legal scope of practice.

By registering for any CBAM program — including hands-on Single Courses, the Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine, the Board Certification Package, or Online Courses — you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before completing your enrollment.

1. Enrollment & Eligibility

  • CBAM programs for regulated procedures (injectables, PRP, etc.) are open to licensed physicians, dentists, and other authorized healthcare professionals only.
  • Registration is confirmed only after payment of the required deposit or full tuition, and receipt of a confirmation email from CBAM.
  • CBAM reserves the right to decline or cancel any enrollment if eligibility requirements are not met.
  • Course seats are limited; enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Payment Terms

  • Enrollment is confirmed once the initial (deposit) payment is received. Course access is granted immediately upon receipt of this payment.
  • The remaining balance must be paid in full within one (1) month of the initial payment.
  • If your practical course is scheduled sooner, the remaining balance is due no later than one week before the practical course date.
  • Full upfront payment may qualify for a percentage-based discount on selected programs.
  • Certificates, diplomas, and all completion documents are released only after full tuition is paid. No exceptions.

3. Refund Policy: All Purchases are Final

Due to the immediate delivery of digital course content and access to proprietary materials, no refunds will be issued for any reason once the initial payment has been processed. This applies to all program types — online courses, hands-on single courses, Diploma, and Board Certification packages. By submitting your initial payment, you acknowledge and accept this no-refund policy in full.

4. Course Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule your hands-on course date, please contact the CBAM team as early as possible. Rescheduling is subject to seat availability in the requested session.

OSCE (Board Exam): Exam date changes or cancellations must be requested at least 7 business days in advance. Cancellations within this window, or no-shows, result in full forfeiture of the exam fee.

5. Certification & Practice Responsibility

  • CBAM does not issue medical or aesthetic licenses. CBAM certificates confirm completion of educational coursework only.
  • It is the student's sole responsibility to confirm they are legally permitted to perform the procedures taught in the program, based on their professional license and jurisdiction.
  • Practitioners must verify their scope of practice and obtain any required approvals from their local health authority before treating patients.
  • CBAM does not guarantee insurability. Securing professional liability insurance is solely the practitioner's responsibility. Inability to obtain insurance does not entitle any registrant to a refund.

6. Code of Conduct & Intellectual Property

  • All course materials, videos, protocols, and content provided by CBAM are protected by copyright and remain the exclusive property of CBAM.
  • Students may not copy, distribute, reproduce, or commercially use CBAM materials in any form.
  • Respectful conduct toward faculty, staff, fellow students, and patient models is required at all times.
  • CBAM reserves the right to remove any participant from a course without refund for serious misconduct.

Use License

All materials and content provided through this website and any related CBAM platforms remain the exclusive property of the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine and are protected by applicable intellectual property and copyright laws worldwide. Access to CBAM services constitutes a limited, non-transferable license to use those services as intended. Under this license, you may not:

  • Modify, copy, or reproduce any CBAM materials.
  • Use materials for any commercial purpose or public display.
  • Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any CBAM software or platform.
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notations from materials.
  • Transfer materials to another person or mirror them on any other server.

This license terminates automatically upon any violation. CBAM reserves the right to terminate access or refuse service at any time. Upon termination, all downloaded materials must be destroyed.

7. Disclaimer

All content provided by CBAM is for educational purposes only and is offered on an 'as is' basis. CBAM makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of any rights.

Performing aesthetic procedures carries inherent risk of injury, particularly when precautions are not observed or when a patient has unique biological factors. By participating in any CBAM course or program, you acknowledge this risk, confirm you are voluntarily participating, and agree to release CBAM from any related claims.

All CBAM content assumes the reader holds background knowledge in relevant anatomy and clinical practice. Materials are intended as a complement to existing training, not a standalone clinical guide. Healthcare professionals must exercise independent clinical judgment within their scope of practice.

8. Force Majeure

CBAM is not liable for inability to deliver courses or programs due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: fire, natural disaster, government restrictions, war, civil unrest, labour disruption, cyberattack, or national emergency. In such cases, CBAM will either cancel or postpone the affected event and will notify students by email.

If the course is affected before practical training has begun:

Option A — Withdraw:

The student may withdraw and receive a partial refund. The online materials portion is non-refundable; the remaining paid amount will be refunded. Online access remains available for 6 months from the withdrawal date, or 9 months from original purchase, whichever is later.

Option B — Continue:

The student may keep their enrollment active until the restriction is lifted. The practical portion will be rescheduled, and online access remains throughout the pause period.

If practical training has already begun:
The course fee is non-refundable. The student retains the right to complete remaining sessions once restrictions are lifted. Online access continues through the restriction period and is extended accordingly.

If a student resumes after a force majeure withdrawal, the non-refunded credit applies toward the new enrollment at the current price.

9. Privacy & Data

Information collected during registration and course participation is used to deliver and improve CBAM services — including processing enrollments, responding to support requests, sending course updates, and conducting internal analysis to improve program quality.

  • Data Security: All sensitive information is encrypted via SSL and stored behind secured, access-restricted systems. Payment transactions are processed through a secure gateway and are not stored on CBAM servers.
  • Cookies: CBAM uses cookies to support site functionality, remember session preferences, and compile aggregate traffic data. You may disable cookies through your browser settings, though some site features may not function as intended.
  • Third Parties: CBAM does not sell or trade your personal information. Data may be disclosed only to service partners required to operate the platform (e.g., hosting, payment processing), provided they maintain confidentiality. If third-party products or services are referenced during training, this does not constitute endorsement — any purchases made from third parties are solely the student's responsibility.

10. Governing Law & Modifications

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
  • CBAM reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Continued use of CBAM services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Promotional pricing does not apply retroactively.
