Facial Anatomy Training
Fresh Cadaver & Ultrasound
Scan it live, then dissect it. This course pairs real-time ultrasound imaging with fresh cadaver dissection so you see the same anatomy twice — first as your patients present it, then layer by layer with the skin removed.
- Live ultrasound scanning and layer-by-layer fresh cadaver dissection in a single day
- Coloured dyes reveal the exact depth and spread of every injection
- Online modules included — 6 months access, complete before the lab
- Hands-on and observational registration options

Course highlights
Two disciplines, one day
Scan it live, then dissect it — the same anatomy seen first with ultrasound, then confirmed by dissection.
Step 1 — Online Modules
Facial anatomy, facial aging, ultrasound theory and recorded cadaveric workshops. Required before you attend the lab. 6 months access included.
Step 2 — The Lab Day
Scan live with ultrasound, dissect fresh cadaver tissue, and inject under expert supervision — all in a single day.

Step 1
Online theory & workshops
All students receive access to the modules below and must complete them before attending the lab day. Six months access is included with either registration option.
Module 1 — Facial Anatomy
- Anatomy of upper face muscles
- Anatomy of peri-oral muscles
- Anatomy of fillers
Module 2 — Ultrasound Foundations
- History and evolution in aesthetics
- Soundwaves, frequencies and image formation
- Device terminology and settings
- Facial layers on ultrasound
- Major vascular networks
- Danger zone identification
Module 3 — Recorded Cadaveric Workshops
- Tear trough & peri-orbital

- Body aging and postural changes
Step 2
The lab day
Ultrasound scanning, fresh tissue dissection and injection practice — one day, one venue.
Ultrasound Scanning
- Probe handling — optimal contact, pressure and angling
- Layer identification — skin, fat compartments, muscle, fascia, periosteum
- Vascular navigation — facial artery and its branches
Cadaver Dissection
- Layer-by-layer dissection of fresh cadaver cephalous
- Facial and masticator muscles, superficial vessels and nerves
- Identification of safe injection planes
Injection Practice
- Upper, mid and lower face, lips and nasal tip on fresh tissue
- Coloured dyes reveal the exact depth and spread of every injection
- High-risk areas and ultrasound-guided safety techniques
Learning objectives
- Employ appropriate anatomical terminology
- Identify major muscular, vascular and nervous structures of the head and neck

Frequently asked questions
Who can enroll in this course?
Physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists and nurses who want to improve safety and precision in aesthetic injectable procedures.
How is the program structured?
Two steps. Step 1 is over 10 hours of online theory and recorded workshops with 6 months access. Step 2 is a single full day in the lab combining ultrasound scanning, cadaver dissection and injection practice.
Do I need to finish the online modules before the lab day?
Yes. All modules must be completed before you attend. The lab day moves quickly and assumes you already have the theory.
Do I need to bring my own ultrasound device?
No. Devices are provided during the lab day. You are welcome to bring your own if you would prefer training on the exact equipment you use in your clinic.
What is the difference between hands-on and observational registration?
Hands-on students scan, dissect and inject themselves under supervision. Observational students attend the same session and watch the demonstrations without performing procedures. Both receive the online modules and a Certificate of Completion.
What certification will I receive?
A formal Certificate of Advanced Completion from the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine (CBAM), issued after both the online modules and the lab day are complete.
