Professional Practice & Clinical Privileges

In Saudi Arabia, Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons generally practice aesthetic medicine within the scope of their specialty. Physicians from other specialties, including General Practitioners, are eligible to enroll in CBAM programs and receive certification to expand their clinical knowledge.

However, the ability to perform aesthetic procedures in a healthcare facility is subject to approval by the facility's credentialing authority and the SCFHS (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties), in accordance with local regulations and institutional policies.

Is the CBAM Diploma approved by the SCFHS?
Yes. The CBAM Diploma Program in Saudi Arabia is designed to align with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) standards. Final clinical privileging decisions follow SCFHS regulations and the policies of the employing healthcare facility.
Can general practitioners take Botox and filler training in Saudi Arabia?
CBAM programs are open to licensed medical doctors of all specialties, including General Practitioners, to gain theoretical and practical knowledge. However, scope of practice for independent aesthetic procedures in Saudi Arabia is primarily restricted to Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons according to SCFHS guidelines. GPs are advised to check current local credentialing rules.
How much does aesthetic medicine training cost in Saudi Arabia?
The CBAM Diploma starts at USD 9,588 (pay in full) or USD 10,200 via a 6-week interest-free installment plan. Board Certification starts at USD 13,254 and the Fellowship at USD 15,792. Groups of two or more receive an extra 10% off.
How long is the training?
The Diploma includes 5 days of hands-on training plus 10 online modules and 7 live-stream sessions. Board Certification includes 7 hands-on days; the Fellowship includes 9, with an advanced mentorship component.
Is the program online or in person?
It is hybrid. All theory is delivered online at your own pace; the hands-on component must be completed in person at our Saudi Arabia training center in Riyadh.
Do I practice on real patients?
Yes. All hands-on sessions are conducted on live models in small groups, with one expert trainer per practical station. CBAM provides all models and products.
What is the difference between the Diploma and Board Certification?
The Diploma covers foundational and advanced injectables plus PRP (21+ courses). Board Certification adds 20 more courses, a 2-day Master Injector program, and a formal examination pathway (case submission, MCQ, and OSCE exams), awarding two credentials.
What will I learn in the hands-on training?
The curriculum covers neurotoxin injection zones (upper, mid, and lower face), dermal filler techniques with needle and cannula, lip and jawline contouring, PRP and regenerative protocols, and recognition and management of vascular complications.
Is the CBAM certificate recognized internationally?
CBAM is an independent Canadian board headquartered in Toronto and Vancouver. Its curriculum and credential are delivered identically across licensed training centers in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Georgia, Nepal, and the Philippines.
